How to challenge a player on lichess.org — Video Tutorial

Live Streamed: www.twitch.tv/Acerook - Register a Twitch handle to chat. Brian will only be streaming games, and answering tournament questions - best and fastest way to contact me if there is an issue. Stream will start Sunday, May 17, 2020 at ~1:30PM CST. (See above for embedded video player).

Where: From the comfort of your own home! All games will be played on lichess.org chess server.

Membership: Must have a current US Chess membership & a free lichess.org username.

Registration: Registration is Live and closes on Sunday, May 17, at 2:15PM CST sharp.  Make sure you put your lichess.org username in the “School or Team Name” Field $5.00 by May 17 via online entry at https://www.acerook.com/register?event=rapidquad1

Format: 3 rounds RR if 4 players; Swiss if 6 players – Game/20 with 5 seconds increment. Affects only US Chess Online Quick rating.

Schedule: Round 1 will start at 2:30PM CST; Rounds 2-3 start as soon as all current round games in your quad is finished. Please start your games promptly. Ideally, tournament will be over by 5:00PM CST – Please plan according to play for the entire duration.

Prizes: 1st place winner, clear or by tiebreaks, gets a free entry into another ACE Online Tournament. Winners will be declared official after tournament is submitted for rating. To redeem free entry, e-mail Brian Yang at AcerookChess@gmail.com and state which tournament the winner wants to join.

Round Robin (Quad) Tiebreaks: 1. Sonneborn-Berger 2. Head-to-Head 3. Kashdan and 4. Most Blacks

Swiss Tiebreaks: 1. Modified Median 2. Solkoff 3. Cumulative 4. Cumulative of Opposition (Standard).

Tournament Directors: NTD Brian Yang (Chief TD)

Equipment: A Desktop PC or Laptop, Internet Connection, Internet Browser (Chrome preferred), and Mouse (Probably a disadvantage to play using a touchpad).
