Acerook Weekly Club and Weekend tournaments will be soon updated on this website. Our first event back over-the-board is the ACE Weekly Club tournament, Blitz Madness #31 on October 7. It is a free event and the details are listed here: Blitz Madness #31.
In consideration of our scholastic K-12 chess players, everyone in the playing hall must wear a mask that completely covers their nose and mouth. All food and drinks must be consumed outside the playing hall.

Thank you for visiting the Acerook Chess Enterprises website and your interest in our services.
As much as I would like to run as many tournaments as possible, both in-person club and weekend tournaments, the on-going COVID virus with its more contagious Delta variant, has made this chess organizer life difficult, such as considering players aged 12 and under as they cannot get the vaccine, whether or not to require mask wearing during and/or getting vaccinated at least 2 weeks before the tournament start date.
The annual New Year Bash 2022 on January 1st and/or 8th of 2022 is currently on schedule, as I hope conditions allow for full capacity for play. Please check back frequently at www.acerook.com for any updates.
Thank you for your time and understanding.
Stay healthy and safe,

Effective Immediately:
2020 Kansas Senior Closed and 2020 Sunflower Open has been cancelled due to COVID-19. The state of Kansas is limiting social gathering to less than 30 individuals as part of Phase 2, Ad Astra: A Plan to Reopen Kansas. Both tournaments’ combined attendance was anticipated to be greater than 30 players.
Furthermore, ACE Club night tournaments will still be suspended until the state of Kansas has completed all phases and proper arrangements has been made with the meeting room facilities.
An Online version of the 2020 Kansas Senior Closed is currently in the works. Details will be posted on the www.acerook.com , as well as information on when ACE Weekend and ACE Club tournaments will start back up.
Currently, ACE Online tournaments are currently held in lieu of AC Weekend and Club tournaments. www.acerook.com/ACEOnline for more information about these tournaments. Please consider playing in these online tournaments and renewing your US Chess membership. Your attendance will help support US Chess!
Thank you for everyone's understanding. Stay safe!

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:
ACE Club Tournaments and ACE weekend tournaments will be cancelled until further notice.
This decision was made by newly released warnings from Johnson County’s health department, as well as the CDC.
The priority here is to keep everyone safe by avoiding large gatherings. The main premise is to minimize community transmission as much as possible so to prevent an exponential growth rate in the number of cases.
We hope that current situation improves by late-May, just in time for the 2020 Sunflower Open. Stay tuned on this website for the latest information on the ACE club and weekend tournaments on when they will resume.
Thank you for everyone’s understanding. Stay safe!
